Trans Dating Ireland: Discreet Dating, North and South

Pay in euros in the Republic or pounds in the North.

My Transgender Secret has members on both sides of the border. In the Republic, Dublin has the most, with Cork next. In Northern Ireland they are mostly in Belfast, Antrim and Down. Members in the Republic can pay in euros and members in the North in pounds, on the same site.

A younger crowd than you might expect

Members in the Republic are younger than the site as a whole. More than half are 25 to 44, and more than one in ten are under 25, a far bigger share of under-25s than across the site.

Most members in Ireland are men, as they are across the site, and it is made for meeting trans women and crossdressers. The site's biggest communities are in the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia.

Because members are spread out, distance matters. Your daily matches take it into account, and VIP members can search by city and distance. If you live outside Dublin or Belfast, be ready to travel: the train between the two cities takes a little over two hours, so a date across the border makes an easy day out.

Dublin: George's Street and beyond

Dublin's LGBTQ+ life centres on South Great George's Street and the streets around it, with a second cluster on Capel Street north of the Liffey. The George, on South Great George's Street, turned 40 in 2026 and is still the city's best-known gay bar. Dublin Pride fills the city in June, and Trans and Intersex Pride Dublin marches from City Hall in July.

For a first date, the National Gallery of Ireland on Merrion Square has a permanent collection open at no charge and is quiet enough to talk, with the square's park outside for a walk afterwards.

If you need support, TENI (Transgender Equality Network Ireland) is based at Outhouse on Capel Street, and LGBT Ireland runs the national LGBT helpline, including a line for families of trans people.

Belfast, from the gay quarter to the Botanic Gardens

Belfast's gay quarter sits on the edge of the Cathedral Quarter, north of the city centre. Belfast Pride runs over ten days in late July, and Trans Pride NI holds its parade in September. The Ulster Museum in the Botanic Gardens charges nothing to get in and makes an easy first date, with the gardens themselves for a walk.

The Rainbow Project, on Waring Street, offers support and advice to LGBT+ people across Northern Ireland, and the Belfast Trans Resource Centre on University Street has run since 2016. Members in County Antrim and County Down are within easy reach of the city.

Discreet, because Ireland is a small place

In a small country, the next profile along could belong to your cousin's best friend. So you join with a username, your name and email are never shown, your location appears only as your nearest town, and the site's name never appears on a VIP bank statement. You can block anyone in a tap. Read more on our safety page.

The site works in your phone's browser, so there is nothing to download; see using My Transgender Secret on your phone. Prices for Ireland, in euros, are on the prices page.
